Shelter Information
User Comments
ox-97, 09/28/07 "Shelter is decent, but is close to the road, so gets a lot of weekend party folks and generally is trashed. ATC has been looking at moving this shelter and relocating the trail away from this area. Shelter states that it sleeps 5, but could accomodate 8-10 fairly comfortably. My recommendations would be to utilize Overmountain Shelter (the old red barn) and Moreland Gap shelters. Most thru hikers bypass this shelter in liu of going into town for a resupply." Please feel free to add your own comments. Fill in your name, comments, and rate this shelter on a scale of 1-5, with 5 being the highest.
