"Located a few miles north of the James River crossing. Lovely setting fairly close to a rushing creek. Basic 6-person design with two uncovered picnic tables and fire rings.
Fair amount of overflow tent space. As of October 2003, there were several dozen log "stumps" that had been set up around the shelter as mini-tables. The stumps probably came from all the blowdowns that hit the area during a recent hurricane and associated micro-burst."
