Shelter Information
User Comments
stands with a fist, 09/27/06 "It's a shame when a CCC stone shelter that's been standing for seventy years is allowed to get this trashed. There needs to be a caretaker or ridgerunner in this area."
Weatherman, 07/15/06 "Old, over grown and nasty"
Weatherman, 07/15/06 "Needs to be town down - not fit for use."
Refreeman, 06/09/07 "William Brien Memorial Shelter looks good now. Bunks were clean, no trash anywhere. Structure appeared to be sound. Water was fine. Nice fire pit with logs around to sit on. Roof didn’t leak the next day during an early morning shower. I'd stay there again."
debmonster, 01/07/08 "Shelter looked good on a hike last weekend. Clean with a nice fire pit and lots of good space for tents. Not sure why the notes say "no water" since there is a decent spring about 50 yards downhill (to the right side) from the shelter. The spring may be unreliable at the height of summer, but generally runs well enough." Please feel free to add your own comments.
