Well cleared and marked trail starts in Petit Jean State Park, just SouthWest of Morrilton, AR. The hike runs in a loop through typical mixed woodlands down a cut in the mountain for almost 1.5 miles. It then runs across 2 cuts to an in-and-out to a beautiful grotto in the rock with a nice sandy beach where you can stop and sit. The hike back out runs back south to the main loop and West, through a couple of hollows. Finally it heads back North through a deep cut in the rocks through tall mixed woods with a small stream running down the center. There is good parking at the trailhead and the beginning/ending parking lot is well-marked from the road. Seven-Hollows is but one of 7 trails in Petit-Jean park, where you can find a CCC-built lodge that dates back to the '30's, a small lake and large campgrounds maintained by Arkansas.
