The Sipsey is a beautiful area with streams, sandstone faces and formations, and lots of waterfalls. So far my favorite hike there starts off at the Sipsey Recreational Area, and follows the river North. You will have to wade across a fairly large stream (trail #209). Along the way there are numerous waterfalls which you can follow your ear to. About two miles out you reach a large waterfalls. You can continue from here if you have the time, but I found this the best part of the hike untill you get to Bee Branch Trail which is another 5 miles. One consideration is maps, it is difficult to get good maps of the area, and if you get the detailed topo map, the trails are unmarked.
