Pocket Rocket w/Windshield and Heat Shield - backpacking pictures
Californiaby LarryB Here is a photo of my MSR Pocket Rocket with a titanium windscreen (BackpackingLight.com). The windscreen weighs 0.8 oz. The second photo shows the heat shield I cut out from an aluminum pie plate. It weighs about 0.5 oz. I ran this experiment with a thermometer in my garage and the canister does not heat up at all. I also tried outside in windy conditions. The boil time was basically the same as in the garage. Number Pictures:2 Date Created: 12/15/06
