"Excellent pack: Used on Mt. Rainer Several times with loads up to 70 lbs. with no issues. Bit expensive but worth it."

"Great pack! - I have the USMC ILBE version. Great design, stable, good capacity and functional details. Having the PALS webbing across the outside, enables additional pouches and thus storage.

It's a toss up between this and a Kifaru on all aspects - both pricey but both excellent for the long haul! "

"Arc'teryx can Make a serius adventure a heck of alot better. The kangaroo pouch on the back is one of the best feature.. you can put completely soaked clothes in it and it won't get anything wet inside. I am a climber and I also carry about 2,500$ worth of camera stuff and I trust the solidity of the pack no matter what i am hauling it up or pushing it through. The Main thing that is a must.... is have it fitted so you buy the right size. If you are looking for a pack that you dont have to tie stuff on the outside you you dont want to hear tinking noises when you walk then this is what you want.. The price might seem abit high but I have had the Bora 40 since it first came out and it still looks and works like it was brand new.. "

"Wonderful pack. It was my first serious backpack purchased in 99 for Alberta/BC week+ treks. I've used the same one ever since and marvel at the loads I can comfortably carry in this thing. I had it properly fitted, a must or any pack will hurt you, and love some little features like the head cut out in the top section. This lets you keep your head up while walking. Detaching the top section for use as a day-hike fanny pack is a great convenience as well. The pack is tough as iron with the only little complaint being the inadequate water bottle pockets on the sides (it has pockets there but I find them too short). I find the separate sleeping bag compartment at the bottom a real plus as well as the top & side access to the main compartment. The separate Hump compartment on the back is great for quick access items but still keeps them out of the weather. Love it!"

"It's simple: I love my Bora 95. It may be more expensive and have a higher empty weight than other packs in its size range, and it doesn't have outside pockets or other "bells and whistles," but it's designed for multiday treks that demand top performance, durability, and comfort. It's critical with any pack that (1) it fit *you* correctly--don't be tempted to skimp on this step--and (2) that your gear be packed correctly. After all, when you're carrying your home on your back for several days at a time, it's challenge enough without your pack fighting you every step of the way. This size of pack isn't for everyone--do check out the smaller packs in the Arc'teryx line."

"This is my first pack. Very comfortable suspension system. Has indentation for head movement. Is massive & easy to overload, be careful! If you are going to be out for 10 days +, this is the pack for you."

"Despite all the raves, I was disappointed with this backpack and I had to take it back. I think the first problem is that I was fitted badly for the pack. The hip-belt was too small and I ended up with severe bruises on my hips. Also, I'm a big fan of having a pocket or two on the outside of the pack, but the single pouch with this pack did not close on the top, so if it rains and you're without rain-protection, everything in the pocket is soaked. Plus, the pack itself is very stiff all around and I think I would prefer the support and the more "cushy" feel of Osprey."
